Welcome to all readers, or indeed, any...
It's a while since I first thought of doing my own blog, and inspired by some of the many great Catholic blogs out there, it's time for me to 'put out into the deep'. Actually, writing a blog does seem a little like putting out into the deep, as I have no idea if anyone will read it, and on a practical note I'm not very good at the technical side of things... there will probably be lots of horrible mistakes! Bear with me and if anyone knows who is the patron saint of blogs, I'd be glad to hear..

  1. Always good to see a new blog!

Am looking forward to reading your thoughts, especially on family and education.

Don't worry about mistakes - the only thing you can really do wrong with a blog is to stop writing it, so keep it up!

I came here via the link on Fr. Tim's site - looks good so far, and will be interested in reading your thoughts.

  3. James and Seth, Welcome and thank you for your kind comments. Thanks also to Fr. Tim for providing a link- I am still slightly amazed by the speed of things in the blogsphere, I hardly thought anyone would notice my blog!

  4. Welcome to blogdom. May it be a source of sanctification (for you and others), and not a near occasion to sin!

I came here via Fr. Finigan's blog.

A few saints have been tossed around as patron saint of bloggers... St. Augustine, St. Jerome (via the Curt Jester), and St. Isidore (patron saint of computers and the internet) I believe.

  5. Welcome to blogging. As a newbie myself my only advice is to keep at it and trust the Holy Spirit that even if you don't see any effect the He is having one anyway. Just keep sowing seeds and let the Lord look after the harvest.
    Like the title too!
